How much are the court fees for a divorce in NI?

You have to pay fees at various points as you move through the divorce process.

You pay fees for:

• lodging the divorce petition
• setting down your case for hearing
• when you apply for your Decree Nisi, and 
• when you apply for your Decree Absolute

How much are the divorce court fees in Northern Ireland?

Remember, there are two types of fees you have to pay when you are getting a divorce in Northern Ireland - the court fees (above) and professional fees (any solicitors, barristers, accountants, etc that you might employ).

Usually the professional fees will be a lot more than the court fees, so don't make the mistake of thinking the above fees are the total costs. This breakdown of the cost of a divorce in Northern Ireland should help you get an idea of how much you are likely to have to pay.
